-- Lanalyse v2.0 --
(C) 1990, 1991 by EbSoft
Lanalyse is the third in a series of programs from EbSoft designed
to teach programmers how to make tools to help them learn about
the workings of DOS and/or to help them to build professional
quality programs. It was written with Microsoft's QuickBASIC v4.5
compiler, which is both powerful and easy to master, making it the
language of choice for many people, from novice to expert.
The program is distributed as shareware, and serves TWO purposes.
It is a very useful diagnostic tool as is stands, and can be
registered as such, or if you want to know how this kind of thing
works, you can go the extra step and order the source code. With
the fully-commented source is distributed a descriptive article
which helps to explain the purpose and flow of the code.
Each of EbSoft's Programmer's Discovery series of programs is
written in native QuickBASIC code, using no external libraries
(except QB.QLB, which is included with the QB package). Anyone
with the QuickBASIC compiler, version 4.0 or later, can write and
compile the types of programs included in this series. Future
releases will contain tutorials covering the mixed-language
interface between QuickBASIC and assembly language, and will
contain both source and object code, so an assembler will not be
necessary. Every package in the series will contain a very useful
program which can be used by programmers and non-programmers
alike.
Registration:
You can register LANALYSE by sending a cheque or money order to:
EbSoft
8 Darnock Court,
Brampton,
Ontario
L6Z 2X3
CANADA
Most programs in this Programmer's Discovery series can be
registered for $5.00, with $10 extra for source code. The nature
of Lanalyse is that it will be used on a network, so we can't
expect folks to cough up registration for each machine. For this
reason, registration for LANALYSE is $20.00. This allows you to
use Lanalyse on one network server (or on the machines served by
one network server). If you want to use LANALYSE on a few server
machines, just multiply it out up to 5 machines. $100 will buy a
site license for 5 servers up to 50. Any more, let us know and
we'll come to an agreement. With registration, let us know what
the version number is at the top of this DOC file, and we'll send
you latest version of Reveal on disk if necessary.
If you want the source for Reveal, add a further $10. We'll send
you a disk with the latest version of the program, the supporting
article, and the full, commented source.
Make sure you specify 5-1/4" or 3-1/2" diskette...
